Starfox Aircraft Australia - The Australian Home for Starfox Ultralight Aircraft and Sports Aircraft
I will update this page over the next few weeks with progress pics of the the first V6 Super ultralight aircraft to fly in Australia. (Check the Home page tab at the top for latest update date)
10th April The first Starfox Super V6 demonstrator to be delivered to Australia is currently being built in the Starfox factory in Brazil (See pics below), and should be ready to ship to Australia in early June. The Super V6 is currently waiting for the Rotax 912, the doped fabric to the wings, the instrument package, the wing tanks, and the tail assembly to be to be fitted.
The Super V6 will be test flown in Brazil, then dis-assembled and packed into a 20 foot shipping container and spend 4-5 weeks on the sea. When it arrives in Australia it will be registered as an RA-Aus "24" LSA aircraft.

Update 22nd April
I have decided to go with the analogue instrument package, but you can go digital, analogue, or a combination of both.
The boys in Brazil have agreed to my request to customise the panel of my demonstrator V6 Super to suit my needs. Being a "right hand drive" country (and being a left hander), I requested the main instruments on the right hand side (ASI, VSI ALT etc), and on the left, space for the large iPad and fuel guages and Hobbs. I should be able to fit an extra iPad Mini on the middle panel in front of the stick for navigation. I have gone with the two iPad setup, as development in the Apps will progress rapidly over the next few years allowing flexability for the future.
Eventually I will be importing the aircraft "cells" (ie completely built aircraft minus engine and instruments) which will be customised and fitted in Australia.
The control surfaces being prepared for surface coverage.
Update 1st May
Wing and tail coverings completed, ready for wing tanks to be installed. Engine section 80% completed. Starting the final painting of the wings and aircraft next. Mounting the panel and installing the electrical system.
Update 18th May
Engine and instrument installation completed. Aircraft body and wing painting started. Installation of the electrical system and hardware, and interior fittings. Wings painted and fuel tanks to be re-installed in wings after painting.
Update 30th May. Main body painted and ready for the decals. Engine bay completed and ready for engine run. Getting close to the final assembly of all the bits to be ready for the fight tests. If all goes to plan, the aircraft will be tuned and test flown soon (subject to weather), and then packing into a 20 foot container, with an expected departure date of around 30th May.
Update 30th May
The first Australian Super V6 is getting closer to completion, having had a few delays with some imported components, and bad weather for flight testing. We are runing a bit behind schedule, but the weather should be OK for the flight tests in the next few days. The "Boys from Brazil" have promised me some nice pics and videos of the flight tests to put on the website.

Update 16th June
The Brazilian boys have pulled out all stops to get this aircraft ready for flight testing, but the weather has not been co-operating, so they have had to resort to a couple of short flight just before dusk, and they still got belted around. All looking good so far, and hopefully tomorrow they will get a solid day for some serious flight testing.

Update 15th July
Well the flight tests have been completed (more video to come), the paperwork has been completed, and the aircraft has ben packed away in a 20 foot container to go to the ports of Brazil, to arrive in Australia towards the end of August. It wont be long before we get this beast in the air.
I look forward to giving you a full first hand report when I get the wings bolted on in Australia.
Update 26th August
The V6 Super should be arriving on the Sydney docks on the 2nd Oct (5 weeks late due to an overbooked ship), and if it gets through customs quick enough, I plan on taking the aircraft body to the OZKOSH airshow at Narromine on the following weekend.
Below is the latest video, if you haven't checked it out yet.
